Warranty and Policy Exclusions

Both the Simply Windows and manufacturer warranties are void when the following conditions occur:

  • A home is sold, resulting in a new owner of the home and its contents.
  • A product is deemed defective after being removed by the client or an unqualified contractor, resulting in damage (e.g., painters).
  • A custom window treatment is damaged due to improper cleaning methods (refer to the manufacturer’s website for proper cleaning instructions).
  • Components required for proper function and safety, such as hold-down brackets, cord cleats, or cord tensioners, are removed by the client, contractor, or tradesperson.
  • Any condition described in the “Not Covered” section of the manufacturer’s warranty.

If damage occurs that is not covered by warranty and the custom window treatment can be repaired, costs will be determined by Simply Windows and the manufacturer. These costs include trip charges for removal, packing, shipping to and from the repair facility, repairing the treatment, and a return trip for installation.
